The Government of Nepal has said that the commonplace governments may announce open occasions for as long as six days a year thinking about their particular religions, culture and customs, notwithstanding those fixed by the government.

The notice said that common governments will need to choose the open occasions to be fixed by them and distribute in the Provincial Gazette in the start of each Nepali new year.
The MoHA had fixed 15 open occasions other than 52 Saturdays for the Nepali year 2076. There will be open occasions for five days amid Dashain and three days amid Tihar. Other open occasions incorporate Nepali New Year day, Buddha Jayanti, Mahashivaratri, Holi, International Workers’ Day, Constitution Day and International Women’s Day.
